Trying to ignore the coughing and pain in my chest as I put in my last 30 minutes of "face time" here at work today (not that there is anyone around to look at my face, but still).

I guess I'll do a quick weekend recap and see where that takes me. Saturday I went to the Pitt Women's Basketball Game at the Peterson Events Center. That was a lot of fun, I haven't been to a live sporting event in a while and it almost felt like I was back in college and had some real school spirit. That was about the time I realized it wasn't my school and that I had graduated long ago- MIT doesn't do school spirit. It's just not cool, man.

After that it was off to meet the girls (and friends) for dessert at the Melting Pot and dancing at Saddle Ridge. The dessert was fantastic but probably a bad idea since I completely overate and was too full to dance for a good half hour or so (kinda like swimming I suppose). But I learned some new dances and we stayed until about 11:30 boogeying down.

Sunday was the Animal Friend's Bowling Tournament which I went to with Kathryn. It was a lot of fun, and I broke 100 in the first round but it quickly went downhill from there. Then as we were headed back into town after the event, Kathryn and I got rearended on the on ramp of 279. There was even a Stop sign at the end of the ramp but apparently the girl saw neither us nor the sign. So the afternoon was spent talking to police, getting Kathryn's car to the garage, and then getting her to her parent's house so she could borrow a car. Not the best way to spend the afternoon, but we found a new Italian place for dinner that made up for some of the drama. I am suprisingly not as sore as I thought I would be. Just getting sick...

On the love front, I am still IMing with Bachelor #1 but neither of us has initiated an actual meeting. And Bachelor #2 has dropped off the face of the earth after a text message late Saturday complaining that his phone battery was broken and dying. Last I heard he was getting a new one this Thursday. I guess I have no choice but to be patient, but it is rather annoying of him not to have any other way to communicate. And we had semi- made plans for the upcoming weekend but who knows what is going on now.

Some heavy drugs would be in order right now. I hope my sister doesn't expect me to be too perky when she comes over later...

Well it has been exceptionally slow at work the past two days. Seriously, I wonder if I'm forgetting to do something. And I can't even think of anything to write about here to fill the time...

So last week I was dating a guy with dead animals in his living room. This week I'm dating a guy with live snakes in his. I can't decide- step up or step down? In my defense, at least the new one has an overwhelming sex appeal.

Subject A: I met him through work. He actually does acquisition analysis and site inspection (among other things) for our client. He seemed very normal when I met him. He is in real estate, does volunteer firefighting in his free time, owns a big-ass pickup, even likes country music. But he lives at home and as I mentioned above, his home is filled with stuffed animals. I believe the goose frozen in flight above his TV was the best part though. Can you believe how hard it is not to laugh when you pause during a commercial to look up and see a goose swaying with the air currents? He seems very nice still and goes hunting and camping which I think would be activities I would enjoy. But on our last date he wore a yellow-plaid (possibly flannel) shirt. Can you blame me for being hesitant? And conversation has been a lot of work.

Subject B: I want to be in his pants, right NOW. Oh right, you want a description. Tall (and sexy), thin (and sexy), tattooed (and sexy), strong (and sexy). So he's got the whole bad boy thing going for him, but somehow seems to be a nice guy. I think he's a closet nerd actually. Major bad things- them there pythons (and I'm not referring to his arms) and the smoking. But he calls me "woman" and nothing quite melts my heart like hearing a guy call me woman. Does that make me weird? Of course my sister knew of him in high school and thinks he's a dirtbag. So I have to figure out if I should be making something of that. But did I mention he's hot? And then there's the not having a car because his current one is sitting in his driveway, wrecked. And the DUI two years ago. But you know, every man has his flaws right?

Welcome back! Well, the welcome is mostly to me since I'm the only one here but I thought a friendly hello was the best way to set the tone.

I have been thinking for a while about how little I remember and how I really ought to be documenting things as I go along if only for my own reference later. As I know I am too busy (lazy) to keep up a journal in the evenings, I think the blog may be the best way to do this. Since I can work on it during my lunch hour...yeah, my lunch hour that's it.

I think the biggest change around here needs to be the title. Blonde doesn't particularly suit me these days (although I have been rather ditzy lately, but I blame the vodka for that one). So perhaps a few minor adjustments will be made during the reorganization. And hopefully a flash of inspiration will hit me in the shower for a new and improved title.
